seriously? Six months?


I can't believe that it's been half a year since my little butterball came into this world.  At his 6 month check up he was 27 inches long and weighs 19 lbs 7 oz.  He is in size 3 diapers and size 9 month clothes. 

During this past month:

Luke doesn't like his Johnny Jumper anymore.  He prefers his regular jumper.

Luke eats cereal for breakfast, pureed fruits for lunch, and pureed vegetables for dinner. 

Luke got his first sickness.  The Dr. said it was a virus and he had fever for 5 days and broke out in a rash all over his body.

Luke is getting better about sitting up on his own but he can't do it for very long yet.

Trash the Dress Photo Shoot

One of the ideas that I KNEW i wanted to try after my wedding was a "trash the dress" photo shoot.  I am a photography snob and I wanted pictures that would be beautiful and creative and unique.  As soon as I mentioned it to my photographer he was immediately on board with the idea.  I am so pleased with how they turned out.  I highly encourage any bride who wants memorable photographs to give it a try.  I didn't (and still don't) have a preconceived notion that my future daughters will want to wear my dress.  I want them to wear their own dress and create their own memories.  So I wasn't worried about "ruining" the dress.  This was also the same location that we got married at too so it was special to come back to the same place.  Getting into the water   The beautiful waterfall  I loved the black and white shots  Finally laying down in the cool waters     again i loved the black and white prints   the back

yup... another rant

So in a previous blog post , I mentioned my disdain for my current professor.  It seems that my professor has yet again made me want to scream in frustration.  I have turned in 3 papers starting 5 weeks ago.  He has just NOW graded them this weekend and provided me with the following feedback.  In timeline order: Friday night first paper grade of 90 - He mentions formatting is not quite what he was looking for and tells me to look at Lieber Light Case as example.  Direct Quote " You earned a 90% on your Palladium case brief.   If you make the above changes to your next case it will improve the readability and flow of the case." (The Lieber Light case is actually different than the handout he gave us in class.  I followed the example he gave us in class and I don't recall him EVER saying to follow the Lieber Light example.  AND i can't do it on my next paper because he took 5 freaking weeks to grade it and i'd already turned in 2 more papers.) Blessings Momentarily in Disguise

Last Thursday Richie and I went to my scheduled Dr. appt for a routine exam.  I like to have Richie involved as much as possible and he's been able to make it to every single appointment except for one.  This time I did my routine pee in the cup (which on a side note is the most difficult thing every invented for a woman... or maybe it's just me... I'm contemplating buying a funnel.. lol) and went to the room to wait for the Dr.  We waited around for 20 minutes and he finally came in.  I asked a few questions and then he pulled out his little machine to hear the baby's heartbeat. He frowned a little and said "I guess I caught the baby napping."  I kinda laughed and said "why?" he said "well the baby's heartbeat is lower than it should be."  I started to get nervous.  "Is that normal when a baby sleeps?" - I mean I have no idea what happens during pregnancy...  He said "no it's not."  meanwhile he contin
