Letter writing challenge

So this November I want to do a different kind of 30 day challenge.  Everyone loves to get mail but very few people actually receive real mail anymore.  So in November, I am going to write and send out 30 letters to people.  Most of these are things that I am thankful for.  The following list is a list of ideas of people to send a letter to:

1.  someone who changed my life
2.  someone who supported me in hard times
3.  someone who brings me joy
4.  letter to myself in the future - obviously I can't mail this
5.  letter to someone who is currently in the armed forces
6.  letter to someone who has served in the armed forces in the past
7.  letter to a secret keeper
8.  letter to someone who holds my past
9.  letter to a former teacher
10.  letter to a friend
11.  letter to a family member
12.  letter to someone who I admire
13.  letter to someone who inspires me
14.  letter to a leader
15.  letter to another new mom
16.  letter to someone who helped me through my pregnancy
17.  letter to another teacher I admire
18.  letter to someone who needs encouragement
19.  letter to a doctor who has taken care of me
20.  letter to someone I miss
21.  letter to an old best friend
22.  letter to someone in a different state
23.  open letters to students everywhere
24.  letter to a doctor who has taken care of luke
25.  letter to a new friend
26.  letter to someone who helps me out a lot
27.  letter to someone who has created something beautiful for me

The green ones are the ones I've written and sent out, but I still need more ideas.

Trash the Dress Photo Shoot

One of the ideas that I KNEW i wanted to try after my wedding was a "trash the dress" photo shoot.  I am a photography snob and I wanted pictures that would be beautiful and creative and unique.  As soon as I mentioned it to my photographer he was immediately on board with the idea.  I am so pleased with how they turned out.  I highly encourage any bride who wants memorable photographs to give it a try.  I didn't (and still don't) have a preconceived notion that my future daughters will want to wear my dress.  I want them to wear their own dress and create their own memories.  So I wasn't worried about "ruining" the dress.  This was also the same location that we got married at too so it was special to come back to the same place.  Getting into the water   The beautiful waterfall  I loved the black and white shots  Finally laying down in the cool waters     again i loved the bl...

yup... another rant

So in a previous blog post , I mentioned my disdain for my current professor.  It seems that my professor has yet again made me want to scream in frustration.  I have turned in 3 papers starting 5 weeks ago.  He has just NOW graded them this weekend and provided me with the following feedback.  In timeline order: Friday night first paper grade of 90 - He mentions formatting is not quite what he was looking for and tells me to look at Lieber Light Case as example.  Direct Quote " You earned a 90% on your Palladium case brief.   If you make the above changes to your next case it will improve the readability and flow of the case." (The Lieber Light case is actually different than the handout he gave us in class.  I followed the example he gave us in class and I don't recall him EVER saying to follow the Lieber Light example.  AND i can't do it on my next paper because he took 5 freaking weeks to grade it and i'd al...

Hopes and Dreams

Richie and I have been trying to get pregnant since August/September.  It's been a really frustrating process to say the least.  At first things seems to be pretty regular and I figured it was only a matter of time.  But then somewhere in February my body decided to pack up shop.  I won't go into the details but it left me despairing that my body was failing me.  Month after month I was beyond frustrated.  So much so that my Dr. finally suggested a medicine called clomid that is a low dose fertility drug that regulates your ovulation.  So i took the first dose of it in May.   Meanwhile very, very few people knew of our plans because we didn't want the pressure of people watching us and waiting for it.    Then the Sunday of mother's day I woke up after having this dream:  Richie and I were sitting on the couch in my parents house.  My whole family knew that I was pregnant already but they didn't know I had ...
