Life is for those who LIVE!!!

Luke: weighs 25.6 lbs is 31 1/2 inches long has 7 teeth wears size 5 diapers wears size 2T clothing wears size 6 shoes Luke has grown so much!  He is starting to climb things He is really interested in books and likes to look and them and turn the pages tries to sit and eat like a big boy using forks.  really he just uses his hands mostly and holds the fork in the other hand Enjoys coming on runs with me

Grief has changed me.  Losing my Shadow, and then less than 6 months later losing my Gram has changed me.  There are 2 large holes in my heart that will never be filled while I am on this Earth - holes that will only be filled when I see the 2 of them in Heaven.  At first I thought that once I stopped grieving my life and I would return to our normal reality.  But the reality of the situation is that you can never go back to who you were.  There are huge changes that I've noticed within myself now that I didn't have before. The first is that now I never really want to leave my house.  Before I had Luke, I felt this restlessness within my soul.  It was a pretty constant need for change and the need to feel young and a little reckless.  Then I got pregnant and went on bed rest and the restlessness went to an all time high.  I was sad and frustrated that I was missing out on life - more specifically on B...

Luke is now 14 months old!  It is hard to believe that almost 2 years ago, I found out I was pregnant.  So much has changed, and I wouldn't have it any other way.  Luke: weighs 24 lbs - he lost weight from being sick for a few weeks is 31 inches long has 6 teeth wears size 4 diapers wears size 24 months or 2T clothing wears size 6 shoes He loves to be outside and walking on his own He loves to manipulate things that are larger than himself He is really pretty smart and likes to figure out how things work When he is sick, he only wants to cuddle and he doesn't want to eat very much at all! We are starting to transition to sippy cups only.  No bottle anymore! 

At 1 year old: Luke weighs 26.8 lbs wears size 4 diapers wears size 18 months clothing  Has 3.5 teeth takes 2 naps a day eat solid foods at every meal and is transitioning off of formula and on to milk Luke got his first hair cut just before his first birthday Luke has started to walk a week before his first birthday. Is wearing big boy shoes.  at first he did NOT like them and wouldn't walk in them at all Luke is starting to throw little fits when he doesn't get his way.  Luckily they don't last long He is very adventurous and tends to get stuck in funny places. Luke weighs 24.6 lbs wears size 4 diapers wears size 18 months clothing  Has 2 teeth takes 2 naps a day eat solid foods at every meal and is transitioning off of formula and on to milk Can stand up on his own from a squatting position.  He has taken a few steps towards me while letting go of the coffee table, but nothing consistent.  Has 1 tooth on bottom and 1 tooth coming in on the top that is halfway out       Likes to play in the kitchen drawers         likes to open and close doors on his own             Likes to look out windows and tap on the glass Celebrated his first Thanksgiving and Christmas Knows how to clap his  hands together when you say "yaaaayyyy" can "dance" when music comes on the radio/TV Got sick for the 2nd time in his life :o(  no fun
