The Seventh Man

For some reason this passage really struck me deeply. This is a passage in a TAKS book that I had my 8th grade kiddos read. But to me it is so much more than that. I hope you enjoy. From The Seventh Man By Haruki Murakami “A huge wave nearly swept me away,” said the seventh man, almost whispering. “It happened one September afternoon when I was 10 years old.” The man was the last one to tell his story that night. Bucket List Traveling 1.      TRAVEL TRAVEL TRAVEL....See various parts of the world- more specifically Denmark, England, Scotland, Norway, Sweeden, Finland, Scotland, Austria, Switzerland, New Zealand, France (again) and Spain (again), Australia, Fiji, St. Lucia, Bora Bora, Prince Edward Island in Canada, Morroco, Budapest 2.      United States travel includes: New York, Boston, Disneyworld in Florida, Miami, Philadelphia, Chicago, Las Vegas (again), Los Angeles, Washington DC ect.   3.      I would love to travel up north to see the fall leaves change color.   4.      New York during Christmas time 5.      Visit a ski resort during snow season 6.      Visit a place with cherry trees in full bloom 7.      Take a road trip across the United States.   Driving and stopping at random places.   8.  Take a cruise somewhere 9.  See the Northern lights Things to experience 1.      Go skinny dipping 2.      Go snowboarding or snow skiing. 3.      learn

11 months of light

Luke weighs 24.6 lbs wears size 4 diapers wears size 18 months clothing  Has 2 teeth takes 2 naps a day eat solid foods at every meal and is transitioning off of formula and on to milk Can stand up on his own from a squatting position.  He has taken a few steps towards me while letting go of the coffee table, but nothing consistent.  Has 1 tooth on bottom and 1 tooth coming in on the top that is halfway out       Likes to play in the kitchen drawers         likes to open and close doors on his own             Likes to look out windows and tap on the glass Celebrated his first Thanksgiving and Christmas Knows how to clap his  hands together when you say "yaaaayyyy" can "dance" when music comes on the radio/TV Got sick for the 2nd time in his life :o(  no fun
